    Responsibilities

    • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
    • Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
    • Prepare and serve meals according to care plans, taking into account dietary restrictions.
    • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
    • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any significant changes to relevant healthcare professionals.
    • Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
    • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
    • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their transportation needs are met.

    Skills

    • Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and case management principles is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with hospice care practices and the ability to create effective care plans.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
    • Ability to administer medication accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
    • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
    • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining client records.
