    Description

    Role Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team at British Veterinary Association. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering thorough medical workups in a GP setting.

Rota Patterns that Work for You

We understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, which is why we offer flexible rota patterns and working hours that adapt to your lifestyle needs. Our standard working pattern consists of 40 hours over 4 days per week, with paid breaks included.

The rota includes shared weekend consults on a rotational basis. We also have a dedicated team of nurses who perform evening and weekend inpatient checks, while vets are on a call list for occasional instances where their presence may be required. Our out-of-hours coverage is provided by Vets Now.

    Join an Established Practice

This is an excellent opportunity to join our modern, forward-thinking clinic, renowned for its commitment to staff well-being and practice sustainability. We strive to be leaders in our field and aim to provide the best possible care to small animal pets in Cheshire.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, dental radiography, in-house blood analysis, multiparameter monitoring, and a purpose-designed feline-only clinic. We are proud to be an ISFM Silver cat-friendly practice and situated in a semi-rural location near M6 motorway links.

    Collaborate with Like-Minded Professionals

Our team comprises 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 10 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, and 5 Receptionists. We also have visiting specialists, including an Orthopaedic Surgeon with Cert Small Animal Orthopaedics FRCVS, as well as Nurse certificates in various fields. Our close-knit team enjoys social activities and considers itself a work family.

    Ongoing Support for Employees

    • We offer a competitive base salary and invest in our people, premises, and processes.
    • You will benefit from private medical insurance, an employee assistance programme, and enhanced family-friendly policies.
    • Our CPD allowance is £1250, with 40 hours paid leave pro rata, as well as access to learning and development opportunities via the IVC Evidensia Academy.

    Professional Development Opportunities

    • BVA membership, VDS cover, and RCVS fees are included.
    • We contribute to a company pension scheme and support a greener commute with a Cycle to Work scheme and Green Cars Scheme, subject to eligibility criteria.
    • You can choose from a range of voluntary benefits to suit you, access discounts/cashback with hundreds of retailers, and receive discounted treatment for your own pets at an IVC Evidensia practice.
