Office Assistant
This job description is provided to assist the jobholder to know what his/her main duties are.
It may be amended from time to time without change to the level of responsibility appropriate to the grade of the post.
Responsible to:
Community Development Manager (Sharon Brittain)
Location:
Clover House, Whitstable
Job Purpose:
To assist with day to day charity delivery and administrative obligations
Hours:
Part Time: 12 hours per week; Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am-1pm
Time off in Lieu is given for any hours over contracted hours.
Salary:
£11.50 p/h
Annual leave: 25 days per annum, (pro rata) plus bank holidays.

We are Red Zebra Community Solutions, a charity providing a variety of support including a Volunteer Lead Car Service for the CT5 area, Social Prescribing within the Canterbury and Costal district, and community based specialist projects.

We are thrilled to have a partnership with Herne Bay Healthcare (PCN) to provide Social Prescribing to their GP surgery and the Herne Bay community.

You must be an enthusiastic team player who is a creative problem solver, demonstrates initiative and with a positive 'can do' attitude.
You must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to people on any level in a variety of settings.
More about the role:
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Management Team, Volunteers and Social Prescribers with day to day tasks and management of the main office
- Updating website and Directory of Services (training given if required)/ supporting with social media
- Supporting office based Volunteers
- General administrative duties (answering office phones, supporting with the Volunteer Car Service)
- Support with maintaining a clean and ordered office environment
Administrative Assistant skills and qualifications:
- Intermediate knowledge of IT is
essential - Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Be a friendly and team player with a positive problem solving creative mind
- Be organised and methodical at all times, working from your own initiative this is a busy and sometimes demanding environment
- Ability to prioritise your time and any deadlines
- Strong attention to detail essential
- Ability to work without supervision
- Excellent time management skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle confidential Information
- Strong record keeping
- Ability to multitask
