Job Description:


Reporting to the Director of People and Talent the primary purpose of this position is to lead and enable the strategic direction and management of all employed recruitment activity for the whole of DPD UK.

To ensure that the strategy is market leading, outward facing in focus, and designed to operate to a best practice model and standards.

To ensure the strategy meets the changing needs of the business long term and enhances the attainment, delivery and organisational aspirations in the attraction and retention of top talent.

Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility

  • Identify organisational needs to create and implement a robust, diverse, engaging and efficient talent acquisition strategy, driving improvements to the recruitment process and underlying business performance.
  • Oversee and day to day management duties of the internal recruitment team in the disciplines of Operations, Management and Specialist role. Shaping, developing and influencing them to engage with the wider People & Talent team alongside recruiting managers and key business stakeholders in the delivery of a timely and attractive recruitment proposition.
  • Develop and retain an engaged, dynamic and diverse, skilled talent acquisition team.
  • Develop and maintain a robust strategy to proactively build a talent pipeline across DPD, to include a Talent pool for high turnover roles.
  • Understand the Company's strategic direction to ensure that workforce planning and the resourcing forecast needs of DPD will be met, with the wider team being actively briefed, equipped and skilled to meet business demand and requirements.
  • A hands on approach in identifying, sourcing and leading the recruitment process and onboarding of Senior leadership roles and key organisational roles as and when required, using sophisticated headhunting and lead generation strategies.
  • Engage, understand and communicate market trends in the recruitment marketplace that could impact the business and its prevailing business objectives and focus.
  • Exceptional ability to manage internal client relationships, leveraging strong consultative skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
  • Responsibility for Sourcing Suppliers and Agreements and management of Preferred Supply list.
  • Oversee the analytics and tools to enable a datadriven recruiting environment with the ability to track and understand key metrics (conversion rates, attrition, retention, trends, etc.) to support and lead on decisions relating to recruitment and talent management of the group.
  • Contribute to the broader P&T strategy to implement and deliver Talent services in line with P&T strategic priorities.

Qualifications:


About You


To be considered for this role you will have extensive leadership exposure and experience in the Talent and Recruitment arena, with demonstrable delivery of a full end to end recruitment strategy.

We would also expect;

  • Extensive experience in managing the recruitment of senior and specialist roles and also high volume, high turnover roles
  • Proven track record of managing a remote team.
  • A CIPD level qualification
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Proactive, energetic and open to new ways of working in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • A passion for adding value and embracing change
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
  • Experience of HR transformation and Recruitment systems and tools implementation
  • Change Management experience
