- Job description
- We are looking for an Assistant Scientist to assist in the cleaning and maintenance of a wide range of water quality monitoring equipment. In addition, you will assist in the operation of our quality assurance system.
- The team
- The National Water Quality Instrumentation Service provides support to all instrumentbased water quality monitoring activities undertaken across the Agency.
We deliver a vital service that underpins the Environment Agency's regulatory responsibilities, and we are playing a central role in the development and expansion of real time water quality monitoring in relation our responsibilities under the 2021 Environment Act.
The team also supports a wide range of citizen science and stakeholder partnerships.- Experience/skills required
- We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person. Preference will be given to those with laboratory or workshop experience.
Be open and willing to learn.
Have good communication skills.
Be a team player
GCSE English, maths, and science would be an advantage but not essential.
All training will be provided.
