Description

We are currently looking for a Decontamination, Collection/Delivery Driver and Warehouse Operative to join the team at our East Sussex Wheelchair Service Centre based in Eastbourne.

We are a fast growing business and leading provider of Healthcare Service solutions including Wheelchair Services.

We work closely with NHS and Social Care Organisations providing a complete outsourced wheelchair service that significantly reduces costs, delivers better quality and an enhanced patient experience.


As a Decontamination, Collection/Delivery Driver and Warehouse Operative you will collect, clean, deliver, both manual and power wheelchairs, static seating chairs and accessories within service user's homes and other associated locations such as care homes, hospitals and schools etc.

You will also get involved in other warehouse activities such as:
scrapping equipment, stock control and some admin tasks.

You will be required to complete all associated paperwork concerning collections, deliveries, decontamination and scrapping accurately recording on a daily basis with the use of scanners and system updates.

You may also be required to assist with warehouse/workshop duties. Full training will be provided.


About you:

  • A confident user of hand tools
  • Previous wheelchair/mechanical experience would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided
  • Can do attitude with natural engineering/fault finding abilities
  • Experience of working in domestic appliance industry or similar would be beneficial
  • Warehouse experience would be beneficial
  • A full UK driving licence is essential (minimum 3 years)
  • Ability to cover rota with one week "on call " in every five weeks. This includes weekend cover in that week
  • Strong customer service skills with an empathetic approach
  • Some flexibility to adjust to ever changing, busy environment

- £21,320.00 per annum.

  • Monday to Friday 8 am 5 pm (40 hours)
