Fixed term until 31st March 2024 (possible extension until 2025 or longer)


Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF), Work & Skills projects are being delivered in Newport to tackle in-work poverty, economic activity, long term unemployment and to offer ESOL language and Essential Skills tuition across the city.


The aim of these projects is to improve skills, motivation, and confidence for participants, so they can consider long term employment opportunities.

The coordinator will assist their manager in delivering these projects.

They will manage a team of staff and ensure that the day-to-day delivery of the project is effective and achieves its outcomes.

Job Purpose

  • To oversee the daytoday management of the SPF Work & Skills projects
  • To support and mentor their team, so they deliver consistent results in line with project targets.
  • Manage the quality, compliance, and performance for the project, reporting information to their line manager and key stakeholders when required.
  • To manage relationships with key stakeholders and the funding body, ensuring that all targets, outcomes, and project goals are achieved and reported on time and correctly.
