We are now recruiting for the position of General Operative working in the Reinforcement department based at our facility at Brigg, North Lincolnshire.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our team.

As a General Operative, reporting to the Assistant Production Manager, you will be working within a team of operatives.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The key duties and responsibilities of these positions include, but are not limited to:

  • Stripping out freestanding moulds and handling steel reinforcement cages.
  • Assembling and cleaning precast moulds.
  • Pouring concrete and finishing units to a high standard.
  • Cutting and bending reinforcing steel to be used in the production of concrete products.
  • Operating power tools and hand tools.
  • Working as a team to meet production standards and deadlines.
  • Monitoring situations to adjust and maintain quality.
  • Undertaking basic maintenance and regular equipment checks within the factories.
  • Performing housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.
  • Undertaking any relevant training in line with own personal development needs and business requirements.
  • Complying with the company's policies & procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Assisting with additional duties when required to support the department or company objectives.

Skills:


  • Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with power tools and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
