Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a highly successful, privately owned fresh food company based in Yorkshire.
Proud of their heritage and with a genuine emphasis on the provenance of their products, they supply meats,fresh produce and ingredients to a diverse range of businesses including major supermarkets, independent food retailers and the foodservice sector.
They are looking for a skilled sales professional to manage relationships with their existing foodservice customersas well as supporting the development of business with new customers in the foodservice sector.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business, as well as managing existing customer accounts, with ultimate accountability for ensuring sales budgets are met.
To achieve this, you will follow up on all new business opportunities,whether this be the acquisition of new customers or the identification of new products.
You will work closely with your customers to monitor sales and profitability to deliver growth and profitability and continually drive improvements to the mutual benefitof both parties.
You will play a lead role in developing sales plans and providing customers with information about new products and promotions.
About the person
We would love to hear from you if you have experience in a customer facing Business Development Management, National Account Management or Commercial Management role where you will have a proven track record of identifying new business and building effectiverelationships with existing customers in the foodservice sector.
Either way, you will be familiar with managing a P&L and be commercially savvy, withdemonstrable success of delivering results in a cost-effective manner.
