Freight Forwarder - Shipping & Freight - Birmingham - Up to £30,000

About the Company
I'm working with a well establish freight forwarder, based in Birmingham, who are looking to recruit an import specialist.


Freight Forwarder - The Rewards

  • 9am 5pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Salary £25,000
  • Training and development opportunities available

Import Specialist - Requirements

  • Previous experience with the freight industry
  • Experience with import freight (ideally ocean and road)
  • Providing admin department and MD with information when requested

Freight Forwarder - Responsibilities

  • Arranging shipments to be imported / exported from various locations
  • Liaising with suppliers at shipping lines, airlines, hauliers and partners to arrange shipments
  • Confirming quotes, pricing and timelines with clients for shipments
  • Completion of all customs entries and all other associated documentation
  • Tracking all shipments and notifying clients of any changes to timings of cargo arriving
  • Excellent communication skills
