An exciting opportunity has arisen at our 11-16 Lewisham based school for a passionate and qualified Science teacher, ideally with a Chemistry background.

This is a temporary to permanent position, starting immediately.

As a Science teacher in our school, you will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students, covering the entire Science curriculum

Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that is conducive to student learning and engagement

Using assessment to track student progress and inform your teaching

Collaborating with other members of the Science department to develop and implement curriculum

Participating in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required

Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Science education and incorporating them into your teaching practice

Helping students to prepare for external examinations, such as GCSEs and A-levels.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching Science in a secondary school setting

A background in Chemistry

A proven track record of success in raising student achievement

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A commitment to professional development and a desire to continuously improve as a teacher.

The school is well-equipped with modern facilities and is located in a convenient area with easy transport links to Lewisham.

Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
