Description
Shawthorpe is currently seeking a Junior CAD Designer to join our prestigious client based in Cradley Heath, West Midlands.

This position would suit an enthusiastic individual looking to start their career in CAD Design (2D) with a supportive growing manufacturingbusiness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quotations, shape drawings and offer technical support to customers.
  • Process new customer enquiries including feasibility study.
  • Liaise with production, engineering and die departments regarding feasibility, design and function of profiles.
  • Liaise with the toolmaker.
  • Produce extrusion shape drawings.
  • Understand Product Approval process.
  • Understanding of quality procedures.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Level 2 or 3 Award in 2D Computer-Aided Design
  • BTECH as a minimum
  • Design skills and knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Light.
  • Thinking and reasoning skills.
  • The ability to work well with others.
  • The ability to use your initiative.
  • To be able to use a computer and the main software packages confidently.

Working Hours and Salary

Contract:


  • Permanent role, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

Working hours:


  • Monday
  • Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

Salary-£21,600 - £23,000 per annum
