Job summary:


This recruitment is for an Executive Officer (D Grade) to provide coordination of support activities to the Logistics Professions Advisors Team, including managing competences as the RAF moves to career management by competences for the Logistics Profession.

The role will also provide administrative support to the team including visits co-ordination across the UK and overseas.

This post offers the opportunity for some work to be delivered remotely as approved by Line Management/Chain of Command and in accordance with Head Office guidance.


We are based at Headquarters Air Command at RAF High Wycombe; an attractive place to work, located in the village of Walters Ash.

There are good public transport links with regular bus services to/from Aylesbury and High Wycombe as well as free car parking on site.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:


Working as part of a small team with Logistics Subject Matter Experts, the successful applicant will report to SO1 A4 Logs Profession Advisor through SO2 A4 Logs Profession Advisor and support the administration of the team to meet mandated training.

The role will also assist in ensuring communication details for all RAF logisticians is up to date, co-ordinate support for visits to RAF bases and help co-ordinate the annual Logistics Seminar.


Person specification:


  • Management and organisation of support activities for the Logistics Profession Advisors Team, including office management, monitoring expenditure and diary coordination.
  • Manage and maintain the Joint Personnel Administration records for all RAF Logistics posts, updating with revisited competencies and information as the Professions reaches graduation.
  • Coordinate the Profession Advisor Team administrative requirements for all external visits and meetings.
  • A4 Logistics Profession Advisor Team point of contact for all information requests and ensure timely progression by the Team.
  • Monitor and ensure all Profession Advisor Team personnel remain current with their mandatory training and competencies.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with other Profession Advisor Teams to ensure continuity of information.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are required for this role:
Essential

  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
Desirable

  • The Joint Personnel Administration System training provided if required.
  • Experience of working within a P3M organisation.
  • Worked within or possessing a thorough understanding of the HQ Air Support Organisation and governance structures.
