Infrastructure Engineer

£40,000 - £50,000 DoE

Cheltenham


Our award-winning client on the outskirts of Cheltenham is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer, who will report directly to the Infrastructure Manager.


The IT department is responsible for supporting two sites in Gloucestershire, and significant investment is made in the IT department to give its staff a competitive advantage.

The Infrastructure Engineer will be expected to travel to both sites, workingevenings and weekends when requested.


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor automated reporting and respond to and resolve daytoday operational issues
  • Manage Cloud technology such as AzureAD, Office365 and Exchange Online
  • Installation, configuration, and optimisation of onpremise software
  • Installation, configuration, and optimisation of onpremise hardware, focused on HPE, Nimble and Cisco technologies
  • Participate in DR reviews and testing
  • Use automation technology to install and upgrade software
  • Research, understand, and implement new technologies relevant to the business

Skills/ Experience:


Desirable (but not essential):


  • Experience working in 2nd/3rd line support teams
  • Experience working in 100+ staff company
  • A strong team player, with a cando, positive attitude
  • Keen interest in existing and new technologies
  • Strong customer focus, with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in writing technical and procedural documentation
  • Cloud technologies
