Year 2 Teaching Assistant

Full-Time Position

Temporary position

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join the team of a Kirkby-based Primary School, as a full-time Year 2 Teaching Assistant, beginning in March 2023.


Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting the classroom teacher in planning and delivering high-quality education to students in Year 2;
  • Providing onetoone or small group support to students who require additional help;
  • Creating and delivering interventions to support students with specific learning needs;
  • Developing positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents;
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Essential requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant in a primary school setting;
  • A recognised qualification in supporting learning and teaching, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organisational and timemanagement skills;
  • A passion for education and a commitment to making a positive difference to the lives of children.
