We are currently recruiting for our client based in Ferryhill who are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their Engineering and Design Team.
The role of the Manufacturing Engineer will be to study requirements for each productionprocess and product at hand and determining the most efficient operations based on these requirements.
Hours of work would be 38.5 hours per week - Monday-Thursday, 8.00am-5.00pm, Friday, 8.00am-12.30pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
- Study production and machine requirements.
- Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
- Design and install tooling/equipment.
- Organise and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.
- Optimise facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance.
- Resolve issues and delays in production.
- Find ways to reduce costs and maximise quality.
- Collaborate with other engineers, customers and suppliers.
- Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
Essential Experience:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design is essential. You will have an excellent knowledge of design visualisation software such as CAD/CAM, MS Office.
- You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and have the capability of handling several projects simultaneously.
- The ability to understand a wide range of technical issues and demonstrate a general knowledge of all aspects of the development process is required.
