European Transport Planning / Dispatching In Harwich/Essex

Skipper Recruit are acting as an agent for a long established, transport and logistics company. They are expanding into Germany, Scandinavia, Benelux & UK. The client offers local & International trailer transport and warehousing.

Our client is looking for an _"Experienced Transport planner"_ to join their team.

Annual Salary - £30,000 - £40,000 _(Depending On Experience)_

Start Times: 08:30 - 17:30 _(Flexibility Required)_
- _Update customers with any service issues._
- _Call out fitters or suppliers for overnight maintenance issues ensuring the most cost-effective solution, whilst ensuring total compliance and adherence to legislation._
- _Welcome agency drivers and assist with inductions and ensuring relevant compliance checks are completed._
- _Assist with the briefing and debriefing of drivers and days team._
- _Keep all relevant systems up to date._
- _Ensure the security of the depot is maintained and health and safety guidelines are followed._
- _Specific training is available_
- _No more than a 30 min drive to the office based in Harwich._
- _1-year minimum experience within a "European Road Transport Office"._
- _2 years minimum experience in trailer transport planning._
- _Excellent communication & IT skills._
- _Building relationships with drivers, suppliers, customers, and teammates._
- _Able to problem solve and pose some traffic planning skills._
- _Great initiative to think outside of the box spontaneously._
