Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individual children or groups of children with behavioural, emotional or social difficulties
  • Developing and implementing behaviour plans in collaboration with class teachers and parents
  • Providing pastoral support and mentoring to children who require additional emotional support
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external agencies to provide a holistic approach to behaviour management
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and adjusting strategies as required
  • Providing regular feedback to senior leadership and contributing to pupil progress meetings

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will have the opportunity to work at one of the most forward-thinking schools in Barnet, with a supportive and experienced senior leadership team.

You will receive regular training and professional development opportunities, includingtraining in behaviour management and other relevant areas.

There is also potential for teacher training down the line, with opportunities to progress onto our School Direct programme and potentially secure a permanent teaching position.

The salary will be in line with the National Joint Council for Local Government Services pay scales.
