- Panel Wirer**We are looking for a Panel Wirer that will directly report to the Production Manager and Team Leader. You will join an innovative company that leads the industry, where you can develop your professional career and grow alongside us.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the assembly of protection and control panels
- Layout and Mechanical assembly of panels according to GA drawings
- Wiring panel according to Electrical Schematics drawings
- Pointtopoint check of completed panels
- Assembly of P&C panels on switchgear
- Mechanical fitting
- Electrical interconnection wiring
- General assistance with the daytoday operation of the production area.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain cleanliness of the production area, make improvements if necessary
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of standard panel build equipment
- Completion of production paperwork e.g., timesheets, assembly competition records, test records
- Aid production engineers, contributing to production requirements
- Installation of equipment into substations
- Cutting cable, and fitting with cable identification labels
- Testing of equipment
- Identify and communicate any potential health and safety risks in the production area
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret wire/electrical drawings
- General IT skills e.g., excel, word, outlook
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively on your own or as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience with the assembly of Protection and control panels used to Control Medium Voltage Switchgear
Education/Qualifications
- Panel wiring/electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- Relevant qualifications e.g., level 3 qualified in a relevant field
Working hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 8am5pm
- Friday: 8am1pm
