Reporting to the Corporate Technology M&A Director, the Transformation Lead is accountable for the success of the Organic (horizontal) and Inorganic (M&A) Transformation portfolios, along with oversight of M&A Operations.

This role sits within the wider Corporate Technology M&A Department and manages cross capability change activities.

The Organic Transformation portfolio will deliver all horizontal change identified and funded as part of the annual budget and prioritisation process.

The work will span all capability areas within Corporate Technology alongside delivering the Corporate Technology elements of Group wide initiatives.


The Organic Transformation lead will be responsible for embedding best practice and drive the maturity of processes, while remaining closely aligned to both the Group wide Change Framework and divisional governance as required.

The LSEG Project Management Policy defines the approach that must be followed by all projects, and details of the approach are documented in the Change Framework, which defines governance, processes, and artefact templates.

The Change Framework is used for all LSEG projects and project data is held in the Clarity PPM tool for ease of reporting.


Working closely with Programme Teams, M&A leadership team and wider Corporate Technology stakeholders, the Organic Transformation Lead will ensure quality and timely delivery of the portfolio to support the Division and Groups technology strategies.

What you'll be doing

  • Management and Delivery of the Organic Transformation Portfolio
  • Shape and manage the pipeline of Organic Transformation, including understanding and managing dependencies within and across portfolios
  • Ensuring delivery plans align to the LSEG Change Framework
  • Adopt and embed best practice into all new projects through the alignment to the Change Framework
  • Be a leader and a doer in the team, including directly managing projects as required to deliver the strategic and operational goals of the portfolio
  • Lead the continuous improvements process to drive process maturity
  • Ensure Programme and Project Managers are supported to adhere to all LSEG governance and internal processes
  • Ensure all inflight projects are managed appropriately, with tasks, risks and issues delegated and reviewed where necessary
  • Partner with crossfunctional teams to understand and incorporate synergy opportunities and operational risks into business and financial plans
Leadership and Line Management

  • Direct line management of the resources assigned to the Organic Transformation Portfolio along with the Inorganic Transformation Lead
  • Proactive resource forecasting that allows for a robust recruitment process that incorporates Diversity and Inclusion
  • Work with PMO and other internal stakeholders to ensure workers are onboarded correctly and managed effectively throughout their time in LSEG including POs, training, system access and accurate resource forecasting
  • Establish and maintain strong and supportive relationships across all capabilities and business units to enable the swift and effective management of issues, risks and dependencies when escalated
  • Contribute to the overall development of the wider M&A department, and take ownership of shared deliverables
  • Continuously adopt a pragmatic, flexible, and responsive approach
  • Working with teams in multiple locations simultaneously
  • 10+ years of combined change management and project management experience
  • 5+ years direct Portfolio/PMO management
  • Recent and direct experience in Corporate Development within a financial services organisation of a similar scale to LSEG
  • Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.) and industries
  • Strong risk management
  • Business Analyst or requirements gathering experience desirable
  • Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse workgroups
  • Ability to develop and leverage relationships/ influence key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively as needed to deliver against corporate technology objectives
  • Demonstrated track record as a selfstarter with the ability to multitask and prioritize among competing demands; ability to wear multiple hats and be both a "thinker" and a "doer"
  • Experience of working with multiple 'Corporate technologies', to enable recognition of interdependencies in endtoend processes that bisect functional boundaries (JML etc)
  • Demonstrable team leadership experience including oversight of 5+ staff from Associate to Expert levels of competency
  • Ability to motivate a team to deliver exceptional results to tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated / Strong work ethic
  • Proven commitment to adapt and champion time sensitive/mission critical processes operating in a global and matrixtype organization
