You will lead the charge in developing the RPS Regional model across Scotland and the North of England, driving innovation in engagement approaches.

Dive into the heart of the pharmacy profession, connecting across sectors, countries, and career stages, while partnering with universities to champion the benefits of RPS to students and educators.

Be a pivotal link for foundation trainees and educational providers.

Your influence will extend to external campaigns spotlighting the pharmacy's vital role and championing inclusivity, ensuring all RPS members thrive.

Seize the opportunity to shape policy through engagement and networking with peers across the nation.

Requirements:

  • A UKregistered pharmacist with good understanding of the vision and mission of RPS and shared values.
  • Ability to motivate, persuade and influence colleagues and peers;
  • Ability to collaborate with wider internal and external teams, whilst capable of high levels of selfmotivation;

  • Willingness to travel regularly

The Directorate

Reporting to the Head of Professional belonging and engagement, you will work in collaboration and partnership with the other Pharmacy Professional Engagement leads, the Country teams and the RPS Ambassadors.

The three Country Directors, their respective country teams, form the directorate.

Working together to develop GB-wide policy or focussing on country-specific health policies that reflect the work plan of the Boards.

The directorate creates an operational approach that ensures the organisations strategy is delivered and work across the organisation with other functional directorates to do so.

A key part of this is engagement with members to ensure their views and opinions are represented in the work we do and with stakeholders to create strong relationships through which we can promote the work of pharmacists.

The Team

The engagement team will work together to lead the development and delivery of the RPS Regional model and to lead a programme of change across regions which will ensure the current approaches to RPS regional and local engagement embed and grow.

How we are currently working

RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home, however, there will be an expectation for travel into the office and to attend collaborative face-to-face working across the regions covered by the role.

Closing date: 10 September 2023

Interviews will take place w/c 25 September 2023.
