This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internalcompany benchmarks.

As Barclays Implementation Analyst, you will be a part of the Implementation team within Oak Pension Asset Management Limited (OPAM).

Your role will involve managing investment implementation activity, assisting in investment infrastructure and third-partymanager activity (appointments and transitions), managing cash, and monitoring operational risks.

Additionally, the team you'll be working on (OPAM) is an occupational pension scheme firm (OPS) regulated by Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).


Working Flexibly

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in.

What will you be doing?:


  • Assisting with coordinating the trade implementation of new investments and disposals in line with the investment strategy
  • Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate legal agreements in place and effective operational structure
  • Planning transaction and executing instructions through the OPAM's portfolio management system in a timely manner
  • Providing implementation support for the Defined Contribution (DC) scheme
  • Leading, managing and reconciling cash flows related to investment activity, and ensuring that balances maintained are appropriate and in line with liquidity management strategy
  • Assisting in negotiation and maintenance of appropriate terms in legal contracts with counterparties for derivatives, transition managers and execution agents
  • Developing and designing process documents as operational endtoend flows evolve over time
  • Managing data on Aladdin platform, incl. trading support and positions management

What we're looking for:


  • Good verbal and written communication skills, coupled with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
  • Detailedoriented individual with experience in financial services, particularly Investment Banking
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to maintain and leverage such relationships to deliver many of the role objectives and responsibilities

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience working in Investment Bank, Compliance, Operations, or Risk and Control Function (likely gained from an Asset Management, Trading or Investment Consulting)
  • Experience in aspects of the trade management life cycle
  • Investment operations and working knowledge of global custodians and Swift
  • Knowledge of the BlackRock Aladdin portfolio management platform or similar platform (e.g. Charles River, Bloomberg, Aladdin)
