About the role:
Design of components, products, assemblies and systems from conceptual design through to detailed drawings, bills of materials and documentation.

The creation of 3D models and CAD images using Solidworks to support the requirements of the engineering department and wider business needs.


Key duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Produce designs and concepts using 3D modelling to support engineering
  • Product design input and the creation of detailed drawings across varied disciplines
  • Creation of assembly and interface drawings
  • Draughting support to the wider engineering team where necessary
  • Close liaison with draughting team in order to produce effective design solutions
  • Support the draughting team leader with process and procedural updates
What do you need?

Be capable of producing 3D models the meet the requirements of the engineering team

Sound knowledge of draughting principles with strong strong draughting skills and experience in Solidworks or a similar CAD package.

Experience in design of subsea equipment.

Focused on delivering to tight deadlines and specifications.

Capable of reacting to changes and willing to go the extra mile to deliver quality products.

HNC qualification in engineering discipline or time served background

The ability to work effectively within a team structure, accept and understand instructions and specified timescales effectively.

Be flexible for travel to other company sites if required.


Desirable Attributes would be:
Ideally you will be a certified Solidworks user with a subsea/offshore background.
Familiar with working to marine, defence standards and Lloyds Rules.
Knowledge and understanding of the latest draughting & engineering standards, rules and regulations.
Cleared to UK Security standards
