The role


Reporting into the Customer Experience Manager, you will be the face of London Stansted Airport as customers travel through the airport.

You will be responsible for interacting with customers at the key touch points of their journey, providing world class customer service along the way.

As an airport ambassador you will be responsible for:

  • Meeting and greeting customers at key touch points throughout their journey.
  • Anticipating and responding to customer needs to advise, support, direct, and resolve issues.
  • Providing empathy and assurance to customer problems.
  • Supporting the implementation of contingencies as required.
  • Providing welfare support to the customer providing initial first aid response and liaison with emergency services.
  • Being fully up to date regarding policy, procedure, process and company updates.
  • Supporting and providing guidance during emergencies, e.g. Fire alarm, TTS failure.
  • Hosting of Egates, to ensure maximum utilisation.
  • Queue management, tray stacking and general terminal security support.
  • Queue/crowd control at various touchpoints across the airport, including Checkin, presecurity, Terminal Security, Immigration and Baggage Reclaim
  • Taking pride in the Airport and resolving or reporting any issues to the relevant parties as required.

What will make you successful in this role


The successful applicant will have previous experience in a face to face customer service role, with a passion for providing first class service, have excellent personal presentation, have the ability to assess a situation and deal appropriately to improve or diffuse accordingly, possess excellent time keeping and work ethic, be able to work unsupervised and still provide the level of professionalism that is expected.

A second language would be advantageous in order to communicate with a diverse range of customers.
