An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Practice Education Facilitator to join the NHS Grampian Regional Theatre Academy, with special responsibility for the Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) Programme in the emergency and trauma theatres.

The Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) will support student ODP's to meet standards set out by their Higher Education Provider, Professional and Regulatory bodies through clinical supervisions and education.

They will also have an active role in the preparation, delivery and evaluation of essential local ODP training to ensure staff and students are trained to provide safe and effective care for patients while meeting professional standards.

The role also assists CPD for our Emergency/Trauma theatre teams.

Using their clinical expertise, the post holder will offer advice, guidance and direction in matters related to clinical and/or education skills.

They will also take the lead role in ensuring that the ODP student experience in clinical placements meets national and locally agreed standards, support registered staff to support the students, and contribute to clinical developments across the perioperative team.

This is a full time position, however part time hours may be considered.
