Key Responsibilities

  • The Sabio Infrastructure & Networks Team is responsible for:
  • Delivering network managed services to customer networks.
  • Management of support and project delivery where there is networking involved for Sabio's private cloud customers or managed networks.
  • Ensuring maximum availability of service across the private cloud and supportability of the platform accompanied with proactive maintenance.
  • Designing and pricing new deals and customers into the private cloud and maintaining appropriate OpEx.
  • Drive automation into the operations of the team to enable capacity for innovation and strategy sessions.

The Network Engineer is responsible for:

  • Network Design. Contribute to designs and implementations of new network solutions and or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Network Configuration. Managing change control and installation of installs, configuration changes and upgrades, ideally through automated means.
  • Break Fix. Participate in incidents to resolve faults across the managed network estates and contribute to root cause documentation for major incidents.
  • Physical Networking. Complete patching and cable management along with managing physical circuits, cross connects and thirdparty connectivity services.
  • Capacity Management. Complete regular reviews of the network and verify their requirements haven't changed during their lifecycle and collaborate with the team on defining solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lifecycle Management. Maintaining device firmware and software versions for supportability according to health regimes.
  • Monitoring. Ensure all managed devices are monitored and alerts generated for health, utilization and lifecycle and responses to alerts by the team are appropriate.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise


Key Skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills to manage and schedule projects of different scales.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting experience of enterprise networking technologies, including relevant tooling such as Wireshark, nmap, etc.
  • Knowledge of firewall concepts and technologies from any vendor and experience implementing and maintaining them, preferably Cisco, F5, Dell and VMWare.
  • Routing protocol experience including BGP and OSPF and knowledge of route redistribution, route maps, and prefix lists.
  • Maintaining datacenter documentation including connection diagrams and network diagrams, high level designs and lowlevel designs and knowledge base articles.
  • Experience with network topology technologies, such as virtual clustering, VPN, implementations, load balancers and proxies.
