About the role

This is an exciting time to join our stop smoking service team We are seeking a determined and creative individual to join our dynamic team here at West Northamptonshire Council.

As a part of dynamic team, you will be delivering evidence based smoking cessation interventions, including behavioural counselling and pharmacotherapy recommendations.

A stop smoking advisor will monitor and evaluate client's progress and adjust their interventions as needed.

What will you be doing?
As a stop smoking advisor you will provide 12 weeks support to clients to quit smoking successfully. You will be educating clients about health risks of smoking and benefits of quitting smoking. Collaboration with internal and external partners will be crucial to ensuring residents receive comprehensive support. You will keep accurate records of client's progress and program outcome on QuitManager system.

You will take part in outreach events to engage with people and encourage them to quit smoking. In the outreach events you will also provide stop smoking promotional materials such as leaflets, posters.

About you
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of the team. You will be providing one to one counselling to individuals looking to quit smoking.
