Description

Can you see what's beneath the surface when working with children with SEND?
It's not always obvious but there can be many challenges that young people can face in the school environment.

As a
Teacher, Lecturer, Tutor, TA, LSA or
Behaviour Specialist you have seen the barriers that children with SEND and SEMH difficulties can come across.

Children can become disinterested in school, disengaged with education, and marginalised by social & emotional pressures.

94% of the young people we work with have successful outcomes. This is where YOU fit in.

With us, you will work with children on a one-to-one ratio outside of a mainstream school setting, delivering bespoke, engaging, and adaptive sessions around our students needs.

By using their interests, you will overcome their anxieties and barriers with education, with the aim to reintegrate a young person back into school or society.

What does a typical day look like?

  • Sessions can be between 35 hours and 25 days (Monday to Friday, no evenings or weekends)
  • Working in local centres, a student's home, libraries or in the community. We work in the best environment for the young person.
  • Build rapport through fun & creative activities or games, embedding education, social skills, and life skills.
  • Having the opportunity to make significant impact and focus on a young person's needs 1:1.

What are the benefits?

  • Competitive hourly rate plus pay for planning and reporting.
  • Subsidised travel costs + £15 per day for resources.

  • Progression

  • CPD & training opportunities.
  • Store and gym discounts.
  • Flexibility to suit you
  • Part time & full time placements available.
  • Dedicated line manager to oversee, guide and offer insight to your placements.

What are we looking for?

  • 1year minimum experience in SEN/education.
  • Experience delivering a primary/secondary/functional skills curriculum is advantageous.
  • Commitment and understanding of Safeguarding.
  • Experience in engaging young people with often complex & challenging behaviours.
