Aspex UK are looking to for an experienced and dedicated Bench Joiner to join our growing team at our Leicester HQ and factory.

We are one of UK's leading manufacturers offering bespoke interior fitout solutions - doorsets, ironmongery and smart access control. Aspex work on UK's top hotels, residential, education and healthcare projects, working directly with leading contractors nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bench Joiner to join our fast, growing doorsets division.


Responsibilities:

As a skilled, experienced Bench Joiner, your job responsibilities will include:

  • Able to produce industry-standard and bespoke joinery
  • individual doors and doorsets
  • Good understanding of design drawings, specifications and written instructions
  • Attention to detail; taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed and leading the manufacturing
  • Confident using a wide variety of bench tools, hand tools and machinery
  • Assist with the manufacturing, fitting and assembly of components for doors
  • Willingness to work towards tight deadlines
  • Assist with moving, handling and storing material
  • Follow Health & Safety policy and procedures

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with wood joinery
  • Good understanding of design drawings
  • Positive attitude with good communication skills
  • Be a good team player as well as able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, busy environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as required

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 or
  • Carpentry or Architectural Joinery
