Senior accountant | Chartered Accountancy Practice | £60,000 - £70,000 per annum
A chartered accountancy practice, established in 1800s, is hiring a senior accountant to join their 10-partner strong firm.

This practice specialises with SME and owner-managed businesses, offering a wide range of services including audit, business support,accounting, and corporate finance.

Also providing a range of taxation compliance and advice; including corporate and income taxes, CGT, VAT, PAYE and other property related taxes.

This is a permanent role with a wide scope of opportunity within the firm.

As a senior member of the team, you will have a direct impact on the culture and performance of the business.

You will be responsible for an established portfolio of clients and willbe a senior member of a team of varying levels.

Key responsibilities:

Preparing and presenting financial statements from client accounting records (FRS 102)
Production of management accounts and unincorporated and ad hoc financial accounts
Production of corporation tax computations and returns
Production of income tax returns; including partnership and LLP returns
Producing audit files, performing audit testing and overseeing junior audit staff
Management and training of junior and trainee staff
Bookkeeping services and VAT returns; including responsibility for delegated work
Liaising directly with clients
Ad hoc financial reporting and managerial tasks

Good communication skills are essential for this position as well as having a 'hands on' attitude.

It is beneficial for you to also have experience with CCH accounts production system, taxation software as well as various 'standard' accounting software (such as SAGE, Xero etc).
