The Role:
Head of Agri Events
Grade ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 13
The Location:
London (hybrid working - minimum of 2 days a week in the London office )
The Team:
S&P Global Commodity Insights is a leading provider of insights and data in the Agri space, notably Biofuels and we aspire to enhance our conference and events position globally in line with the growing market for fuels linked to Energy Transition.
The role will be located within our Energy and Resources Conferences group and this exciting opportunity will focus on Agri Events, specifically Biofuels.
The Impact:
Events in Biofuels and related agriculture areas will form part of a push into this growing Agri business area.
We have an opportunity launch a high- profile Biofuels event drawing on strong inputs from our Agri teams around the world, enabling our clients to gain better understanding of this growing area and linkages with other commodities such as refined products and chemicals. It is important to see this Agricultural business area in the context of energy Transition.
What's in it for you:
This role will be embedded in a dynamic team covering the full range of commodity events with relevant operations support and cross-linkages.
Responsibilities:
In cooperation with the business leader and colleagues launch and develop a major Biofuels event for 2024 building on an existing position, as appropriate.
Identify opportunities to build out Agri tracks at related existing portfolio events
Work with Marketing teams to develop a robust outreach plan for events
Work with Sales team to identify sponsor opportunities for clients, including strategic media.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in launching and growing international conferences with associated financial responsibility and planning capability
Knowledge of Agri space and preferably Energy Transition
Graduate Degree or relevant educational standard
Global experience and awareness; multiple languages a plus but not essential
Willingness to travel
Other skills:
Strong ability to manage and communicate
Team player, mindful of corporate environment and protocols
Ability to work across multi

Ability to assess information and make confident decisions
