Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be working with a leading Services business, based in Fareham, who are seeking to recruit a Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Finance include:

Provide accurate financial data to the monthly and quarterly Board meetings
Leading a team of project accountants to provide data on the profitability of a number of contracts
Liaising with the Head of Projects to improve project governance and the accuracy of project data
Leading the central finance teamwork with the financial controller to ensure that all relevant accounting standards are adhered to, that audit information is provided in a timely manner and that statutory reporting is agreed by the board to the agreed timetable
Liaison with external tax consultants to ensure that all reporting to HMRC is provided accurately and on time
Lead and manage the month end closure and reporting timetable to ensure that senior leaders and shareholders have an accurate picture of the financial results and forward forecasts

Key Skills and Experience of the Head of Finance include:

Strong leadership skills
Strong technical knowledge of Project Accounting and Statutory Accounting
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to influence others at all levels of the business
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) with several years post qualified experience
Experience in both operational and central finance roles
Proven track record of leading teams in a fastpaced environment
Experience of reporting at a senior level

Hybrid working - 1-2 days a week in the office
