Electrical Estimator for M&E Main Contractor Interviewing Now
Salary up to 65k plus excellent benefits including Car Allowance 25 days holiday


MY Well Established M&E Main Contractor is seeking an additional member of staff due to rapid progression of the business
The Company are well respected and are a great company to work for with a family feel


The Position
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, this role comprises but will not be limited to:

  • Tender document review and analysis including raising of RFI's with the client
  • Supply chain correspondence and enquiries
  • Takeoff as required conforming to standard estimating conventions
  • Vetting incoming tenders/offers from our supply chain and ensuring that the most viable offer is included within our submission
  • Preparing tenders for internal adjudications
  • Attendance of tender adjudication meetings to present costing approach, project duration, and risks to the business
  • Timely submission of tenders
  • Attendance in handover of projects to the operations team
  • A team mentality
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High use of initiative

  • Commercially astute, able to identify and manage risk and to anticipate issues that may affect costs and address them proactively
  • An eye for detail, and proven ability to work to tight deadlines on simultaneous projects
  • Proactive and persuasive with the skills to assess better systems of work in order to advise and assist clients on systems that will save time and money

Experience and Qualifications

  • Preferably qualified by apprenticeship or to C & G / ONC level
  • Proven experience in a similar position with an M&E contractor or in the M&E division of a main contractor
  • Proven ability to estimate costs and timescales accurately in order to meet deadlines

Salary:
£64,000.00-£66,000.00 per year

  • Dartford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Diploma of Higher Education (required)

Experience:


  • Qualified by Apprenticeship: 5 years (required)
  • Proven skills in similar position with M&E Contractor: 5 years (required)
  • Proven ability to Estimate costs and timescales: 5 years (required)
  • Commercially astute identify risks: 5 years (required)
  • Eye for detail proactive and persuasive: 5 years (required)
