The Specialist Medicine Directorate is a group of seven Clinical Services including Clinical Genetics, Dermatology, Respiratory Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Diabetes & Endocrinology and Immunology.
The Directorate is staffed with a range of staff groups- Allied Health Professionals, Medical Staff, Administration and Nursing. The Directorate team is comprised of a small group of staff based at the Churchill who ensure the smooth running of all the services.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that Medical staff as well as some of the Allied Health Professions posts are recruited to, that they have appropriate contracts are in place, and staff are paid in a timely manner.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and diligent individual with attention to detail and tenacity, to join our team.
The post holder will be able to provide a comprehensive and complete Medical Staffing service to the Specialist Medicine Directorate, overseeing all aspects of the medical rotas and payroll, recruitment, annual leave, sickness/absence and the booking of medical locums and additional payments.
Providing support to the Directorate Management Team with budgetary oversight ensuring a reduction in locum expenditure and support for Consultant and Middle Grade recruitment.
The post holder works as part of team, however much of the role is autonomous.An ability to create networks and work with senior staff is important as well as using their own initiative to problem solve.
- Toprovidean effective first point of contact for enquiries and information around theDirectoratemedical rotas,HR (Human Resources)and Medical Staffing queriesforall Clinical Units in theSpecialist MedicineDirectorate
- Being the main contact for locum payment forms, ensuringaccuratecompletion including dates, signatures, hourlyrateand amount to be paid.
- Advising the Clinical Leads, Recruiting Consultants on the recruitment process and ensuring Statement of Needs/Business Cases are completed and reviewed by the DGM/Clinical Director/Finance before being sent to the Divisional Director for BPG approval
- Ensuring JDs (Job Descriptions) are up to date to include the correct salary information before these are attached to TRAC
- To manage all medical staffing recruitment, from advert to recruitment
The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
