Nursery Room Leader

Location:
Chesham, Buckinghamshire, (HP5)

Salary:
£23,900 - £24,900 per annum (Welcome Bonus)

Job Type:
Full Time Position, 40 hours per week

The Job Role:


Our client are looking for a
Room Leader with a minimum of Level 3 qualification in Childcare and with experience in working in a day nursery with children aged from 3 months to 5 years old.


Job Duties:


  • Adhere to all companies' policies and procedures and ensure that these are adhered by all staff
  • Promote good practise to meet the requirements of the EYFS
  • To provide good standards of care and education
  • To support playroom staff in their roles and development
  • To work with management team and lead and support the practitioners further to enhance their knowledge and understanding of children's learning and development
  • Motivate and encourage team to have fun
  • To attend senior meetings and monthly evening staff meetings
  • To provide advice, training and mentoring to practitioners
  • To lead and support colleagues to work in partnership with parents
  • Ensure planning and assessment is in place
  • To role model excellent practise and carry out peer observation with constructive feedback
  • To provide equal opportunities
  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare
  • 1 Year previous experience in working for a nursery
