Part-Time, 0.6 Timetable (3 Full Days), Maternity Cover, 1 year contract

GSL Education's North Yorkshire branch is currently seeking a Teacher of French to join the MFL department of an Ofsted graded 'Good' School, approximately 13 miles north of York City Centre.

This position is suitable for Fully Qualified and Early Career Teachers.

Job Role and Responsibilities:


  • To plan and deliver Key Stage 3 and GCSE French across years 7 to 1
  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
  • Plan and teach wellstructured lessons.
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils.

Person Specification:


  • Hold a relevant degree and teacher training qualification.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and GCSE French across a range of abilities.
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner, with the ability to use a range of teaching and learning styles and resources to meet the needs of your students.
  • Have the desire and motivation to work with children and young people.
