Human Resources Officer

Introduction


Intermarine UK is a leading provider of labour support to maritime operations in the UK and our business is growing rapdily.

We are looking to appoint a Human Resources Offficer who shares the core values of the business and actively engage with the management, orientation and development of our workforce.

The role will be based at our operations centre in Glasgow, UK where we currently have circa 270 workers from a variety of different backgrounds.


We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Officer familiar with a fast working environment who can take our existing HR processes up to the next level.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and is comfortable working independantly as well as part of a team. Polish or Romanian speaker would be adventageous but not a requirement for the role.


Key responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new workers.
  • Support the development and implementation of a new HR software platform.
  • Recording and processing of confidential information
  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures.
  • Representing management in worker disputes
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, holiday etc.) according to policy.
  • Promoting equality, health and safety, etc within the company.

Requirements:


  • At least 3 years' experience in similar role
  • Strong IT skills across MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem solving and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Polish or Romanian speaker would be advantageous

Employment terms
37.5 hrs per week (Mon-Fri 8am to 4pm with 1⁄2 hour paid lunchbreak each day). Additional hours may be required to meet deadlines with time off in lieu.

£30,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience

25 holiday days per annum plus E&W public holidays

Probationary period of three months
