Role / Function of the Relationship Manager


Relationship Manager will ultimately be responsible for making sure the clients feel valued, ensuring they give the client the best service and support.

They will work closely with the Loan Management team to develop new ways to attract clients and reduceclient turnover by maintaining the professional relationship.

They must understand the company values and behaviours and ensure they remain up to date with the types of products it offers to best represent the company in the market

This role will suit a hardworking, confident individual who has excellent interpersonal skills, ideally with experience in the field.


Relationship Manager Duties

  • Build and improve relationships with customers, key suppliers, and partners.
  • Maintaining relationships with Intermediaries to ensure the customer is supported.
  • Using initiative to continuously enhance the Relationship Management process.
  • Review company practices to ensure clients get maximum satisfaction from their loans.
  • Understand how deal terms are structured to ensure they are best placed to deal with the customer confidently.
  • Identify potential opportunities and inform the sales team to follow up.
  • Educate and inform clients about the company's products, services, and special offers.
  • Attend to client complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure it meet's clients' expectations making recommendations for improvements where required.
  • Setting customer service goals for team members and helping them reach those goals.
  • Interacting with customers in a timely manner
  • Maintaining relationships with profitable customers.
  • Making weekly and monthly reports for the Head of Compliance and Senior Management
  • Maintaining a detailed list/pipeline of the completed cases and proactively contacting customers at pivotal stages of the loan
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and recommend ways of improving client satisfaction by way of reporting to internal management.
  • Staying current on the latest industry trends and techniques

Relationship Manager Skills/ Experience

  • Relevant degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • Three or more years' experience in customer service, sales, or a related position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead and work within a team by having a proactive driven attitude.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Exceptional organization skills and a strong work ethic
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software and Outlook
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment working to tight deadlines
