About me:

I am a 31-year-old young man. I'm very happy and love my life but I need people to help me enjoy it.

I live in the village of Monks Eleigh (near Bildeston and Lavenham).

Living with me in my home are my Mum and Dad, Stan the dog and some fish in the pond.

I am looking to employ one or more support workers to join my team of very special employees who help with my care.

Our house was adapted so that I can live downstairs.

I am a very happy person who enjoys life.

I get on easily with people and love them to talk to me about where I have been or the things I am going to do.

I can't talk - but I can communicate in my own ways.

I love to go out and about for walks in my wheelchair in the village and rides on my mobility bike which you drive for me.

Stan, my Cockapoo likes to come for walks too. He is very friendly.

Trains, stations, buses, cafes, supermarkets and shops, parks and outdoor places, Felixstowe and churches are all a big part of my everyday life.

I have a train set in the garden which I watch in summer.

I enjoy listening to all kinds of music. These days I really enjoy hymns, piano, organ, and brass bands but I enjoy lots of other stuff too.

I have some sensory lights in my room and I love playing in there with my trains, on my piano or drums, or throwing balls or reading stories.

On Sundays I go to church with my Nan and sing lots of songs. If I can't go with Nan I go with Mum and Dad.

My Nan is very important to me and I look forward to seeing her on Wednesday and Sunday for dinner.

You would need to help me a lot to get about.

I had a really bad seizure and then a stroke recently and it has left me very weak on the left side.

I can't stand or walk without a lot of support anymore and I can't use my left arm. I get tired very quickly these days and I need to use my wheelchair all the time now. I can't do anything like washing and dressing etc. and I like to be fed liquidized food.

I have a silver Motability WAV and my Carer's can all drive it so I can get out and about.

I don't know what I'd do without it.

For 4 days a week I go to The Bungalow in Bury St Edmunds. My Carer drops me off at 10am and then I get collected at 5pm.

While I'm there I do painting and sticking, cooking, plant seeds and grow food to eat, sing, play music, read stories, rest in the sensory room and have picnics in the garden.

I am very happy there.
