Role Title:
Apprentice Business Administrator


Location:
Llay, Wrexham


Immediate Supervisor:
Operations Manager


Hours of Work:
Mon - Thurs, 8am - 5pm, Fri 8am - 11:30 am


Role:

Charcroft Electronics are a long established distributor and manufacturer of electronic components. The Wrexham site, where this position will be situated, is a manufacturer of specialist metallised film capacitor manufacturer.

The company is showing ongoing growth resulting in the below role becoming available.

The job role generally includes all administrative duties.

Working closely with existing staff to learn and develop skills in all aspects of the business such as shown below.


Full training will be given including external training such as progression through a full apprenticeship in Business Studies (or other suitable vocation).

The company would encourage ongoing training up to and including degree level should it be beneficial to both the company and employee.


Ultimately the company would see the employee taking over responsibility for all "behind the scenes" operations offering full support to the production team producing components.


Main Duties:


  • Site expert in all aspects of the companies bespoke operating system.
  • Generation and maintenance of all customer Bills of Material. This will follow full familiarisation with the company's product range and manufacturing processes.
  • Improvement of company product labelling system and maintenance of same. (Using off the shelf software )
  • Gain full knowledge of the company's quality system and assisting in maintenance of same.
  • Quality auditing (following training)
  • Carrying out Group A inspection
  • Gaining full understanding of the company's financial aspects etc. This will involve training in stocktakes, valuations etc. It will also encompass all aspects of purchasing.
  • Running and reporting of all on site KPI measures.
  • Working with Purchasing / Stock Control function to identify, evaluate and approve new suppliers.
  • Implementation, control and analysis of new production batch control system. This will also migrate into advising Production Manager of employee output etc.
  • Interface between Wrexham and Head Office purchasing and sales support staff.
  • Monitoring and coordinating all staff to ensure that enquiries / developments are processed and completed in a timely manner.
  • Holiday cover for all administrative operations.

Salary:
£14,625.00-£17,500.00 per year
