The Company

  • Our client is a specialist engineering company. Due to growth, they now require a Project Engineer.

The Role

  • The provision of firstclass general engineering support on new product development, production engineering support, new product introduction and design.
  • To support process knowledge acquisition via trials and data analysis.
  • To provide technical support and leadership on New Product Introduction and New Product development and support the NPI Process with ownership of the development lifecycle.
  • To support the design of tooling and fixtures and the production of manufacturing drawings. Proficient in 3D assembly, part modelling and the creation of 2D drawings.
  • Own and edit the development route of manufacture in the ERP system.
  • To provide technical support for machine and process development projects.
  • To undertake mechanical design projects.
  • To provide engineering analysis as required.
  • To work closely with customers technical representatives to develop solutions that can be manufactured by the company.
  • To support the introduction of new knowledge and capabilities to the company.
  • To lead project teams as required.

The Person

  • Must be educated to degree level in Engineering ideally mechanical.
  • Must have post grad experience in an Engineering role.
  • Direct experience/knowledge of a variety of engineering processes.
  • Experience of dealing with technical staff from strategic customers.
  • Experience of Project Management.
  • Able to build models using 3D CAD and create manufacturing drawings.
  • Able to perform engineering design and analysis with respect to machine components and tooling.
