Credit Controller

Braintree - Colchester (hybrid)

£24k negotiable depending on experience, plus more
James George Recruitment are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join a supportive and successful team in Essex.


As Credit Controller, you'll be:

  • Updating your ledger on a daily basis and maintaining accurate records
  • Carrying out credit checks
  • Posting payments to accounts
  • Responding promptly to any disputes, and reporting to line manager for unresolved issues
  • Attending monthly aged debt meetings
  • Sending out monthly client correspondence and statements
  • Ad hoc duties when required

Skills Required

  • A calm and confident manner
  • Team spirit as well as the ability to manage their own workload
  • Good IT skills including the use of Excel and Pivot tables
  • The ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Previous use of Sage (preferable, but not essential)
*If you only have light experience in credit control, please do get in touch as training may be provided for the right individual.
