Spread your wings, and soar with us.Corvus is looking for an Underwriter to help us expand and support our growing books of delegated/Coverholder Cyber business. This underwriter will be focused on managing the delegated portfolio at Corvus London Markets.
As an Underwriter at Corvus you will leverage our technology platform in your day-to-day role to work more efficiently and ultimately, become more productive.
Role/Requirements:
- Portfolio oversight of the delegated business;
- Managing their risk portfolio in accordance with the underwriting guidelines;
- Responsible for Coverholder strategy and business development in line with plan and working with the Manager, Underwriting on delivering underwriting strategy
- Adhere to agreed underwriting authorities
- Refer any unclear areas to the Manager, Underwriting/Head of Underwriting/Syndicate
- Maintain profitable book of business in line with the business plan and risk appetite
- Negotiate rates & terms and conditions, balancing risk and commercial considerations
- Monitor underwriting gross & net loss ratios for class portfolio of risks
- Look for ongoing opportunities with existing clients/brokers/coverholders
- Works with Manager, Underwriting to ensure that risks associated with own role are understood and managed

What you will bring to the flock:
- Hold 3+ years of experience in insurance
- Degree or relevant qualification
- ACII or relevant level of qualification or working towards a qualification
