Head of Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Service (CAMSS)
Location:
RAF Coningsby - Lincolnshire.

Salary:
£66,700+ (Commensurate with skills and experience)
What you'll be doing:
- The analysis and recommendations of changes to the Operator Maintenance Program (OMP)
- The management of modifications and repairs, ensuring that such activities are carried out to an approved standard
- Ensuring all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the approved maintenance programme and released by an appropriately approved MIL Part 145 maintenance organisation, or equivalent
- Ensuring the satisfactory implementation of all Airworthiness Instructions (AI)
- Ensuring all known defects, either reported or those discovered during scheduled maintenance, are managed correctly
- The coordination of the scheduled maintenance in the contracted maintenance environments, to ensure that work is carried out to the approved standard
- The management of all continuing airworthiness records
- Ensuring the management of the Continuing Airworthiness Assurance System required by MIL Part M (or equivalent) is effective
- Ensuring the CAM support organisation has sufficient appropriately qualified and competent personnel
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Proven track record of Operational management within a Support Environment and can demonstrate compliance with MAOS / DAOS regulations
- Experience of Project Management leadership with contract responsibility and leading / influencing large multifunctional teams
- Thorough knowledge of human factors, error management, risk and safety management
- Demonstrate a thorough operational and commercial understanding of the fleet's performance and business key performance metrics
- Able to design, implement and foster a Continuous Improvement culture underpinned by appropriate management reporting systems
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline or demonstrate equivalent competence through direct experience

The CAMSS Team:
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Head of Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Service (CAMSS), based at RAF Coningsby.
- Reliability programme, maintenance programme, tasking of depth maintenance, management of modifications & repairs, satisfactory implement of Airworthiness Instructions, defect management, management of airworthiness records and any deferments or limitations are correctly authorised, in compliance with Military Airworthiness Authority regulations (RA4900 & RA5000 series)
- Ensuring that the team has sufficient appropriately qualified, competent personnel, together with the provision of any necessary training for personnel, to ensure competence and recency
- Management of the department, including budgetary responsibility and fostering a continuous improvement culture
