The University of Manchester is continually involved in pushing the boundaries of clinical research. to this end the university has successfully undertaken and completed a number of successful first-in-human intervention.

This work is overseen by the Research Governance, Ethics and Integrity Team, based within the within the Directorate of Research and Business Engagement.

The Research Governance, Ethics and Integrity Team provide operational co-ordination for the assurance and development of good research practice, research ethics and compliance with legislation and regulations governing research.

Applications are invited for the post of Research Governance, Ethics and Integrity Assistant and join the team in supporting cutting-edge research.


You will support the implementation systems for the assurance of compliance with the requirements of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in relation to clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs), medical devices and other high-risk clinical research.


You will possess excellent organisation and administrative skills with a proven ability to handle and effectively prioritise a varied workload and the workload of others along with experience of working in an administrative role in a similar environment.

You will need to be enthusiastic and confident, with excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. You will need the ability to work both independently and able to interact effectively within a team.
