Job Purpose:

Responsible for delivery and overall implementation of the Health & fitness work plan across multiple facilities within the region.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the successful growth of membership, driving membership retention and new sales through implementation of campaigns/sales initiatives.
  • Lead and develop new revenue streams by developing group exercise programming to continually add new 'added value'/income generating programmes.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive fitness pathway from the young adult market through to active ageing population.
  • Lead on customer engagement to drive retention and to ensure customer intelligence is being gathered, is understood and is used to influence decision making
  • Ongoing monitoring and reporting on progress against set health & fitness KPI's to include ETM occupancies, overall membership sales and customer engagement.
  • Create a training and development framework and establish essential and desirable requirements in order to deliver service excellence
  • Coordinate external training & development with existing fitness staff across all sites.
  • Deliver/coordinate ongoing internal staff CPD training, and ensure all existing staff are trained to appropriate standard.
  • Identify training opportunities within existing teams to develop new fitness staff.
  • Support recruitment and training of any new fitness staff to organisation.
  • Provide effective communication with all staff to achieve objectives.
  • Work closely with Area Manager (Functional lead) to deliver corporate health & fitness work plan and develop site specific unit plans identifying programming opportunities and maximising revenue growth.
  • Work closely with Duty Managers and leading facility fitness teams to ensure maximum levels of participation and achieving set KPI's within unit plans.
  • Support procurement processes.
  • Support capital projects and purchasing.
  • Manage health and fitness assets and contracts dealing with any relevant suppliers. DMs responsible for day to day for post manages corporately.
  • Ensure that services are delivered with a customerfocused ethos.
  • Assist in the development of new health & fitness products.
  • Keep up to date with latest trends and develop proposals for innovative products/programming.
  • Represent Live Borders internally and externally e.g. at networking events, meetings, conferences and exhibitions to enhance and strengthen the Live Borders profile.

Other details:

Requirement to work out of hours or weekends - on occasions, evening and weekend work may be required. Flexible working patterns to suit business needs permitted.

Requirement for PVG/Disclosure check

The role will involve travel between various locations within the Scottish Borders & virtual meetings/phone calls. The post holder will be required to hold a full, valid driving license and have access to a car.
