Mechanical Engineer - Product Compliance
Peterborough
Initial 6 Month Contract
Competitive Hourly Rate - Umbrella OR PAYE
Job Responsibilities & Duties of the Product Compliance Engineer
- Develop an understanding of product standards relating to Diesel Engines, Batteries and Hybrid Drive Systems, across global markets.
- Identify and agree the appropriate interpretation of product requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of product compliance documentation, risk assessments, and audits.
- Plan and drive activities to complete within program timelines, ensuring delivery of validation/testing, documentation of test outcomes, and technical review & sign off.
Skills and Experience required of the Product Compliance Engineer
- Knowledge of diesel engines. Understanding of batteries, drive control systems, functional safety or materials compliance would also be beneficial.
- Selfdirected and capable of handling and prioritising multiple projects.
- Strong commitment to product safety and quality, with excellent communication.
- Ability to build strategic working relationships, understand business constraints, and resolve conflict through compromise and consensus building.
