Mechanical Engineer - Product Compliance

Peterborough

Initial 6 Month Contract

Competitive Hourly Rate - Umbrella OR PAYE

Job Responsibilities & Duties of the Product Compliance Engineer

  • Develop an understanding of product standards relating to Diesel Engines, Batteries and Hybrid Drive Systems, across global markets.
  • Identify and agree the appropriate interpretation of product requirements.
  • Ensure timely completion of product compliance documentation, risk assessments, and audits.
Work with engineers and project leads to identify safety hazards and compliance risks, before agreeing appropriate mitigation actions.

  • Plan and drive activities to complete within program timelines, ensuring delivery of validation/testing, documentation of test outcomes, and technical review & sign off.

Skills and Experience required of the Product Compliance Engineer

  • Knowledge of diesel engines. Understanding of batteries, drive control systems, functional safety or materials compliance would also be beneficial.
  • Selfdirected and capable of handling and prioritising multiple projects.
  • Strong commitment to product safety and quality, with excellent communication.
  • Ability to build strategic working relationships, understand business constraints, and resolve conflict through compromise and consensus building.
