Summary


Raeburn Geotechnical and Drilling Ltd has recently become part of the SafeLane Group of Companies and as a result of an expanding waterwell business requirement and successful tendering process, we are expanding our team, looking for an individual ideally with knowledge on design and tendering of waterwell, booster pump and filtration plant with a keen attention to detail to join our team.


  • Design and tendering of waterwell, booster pump and filtration systems
  • Risk Assessment and Method Statements elements of new contracts
  • Pump technicians expenses, production, recording and analysis
  • Responsible for the aftercare and servicing of new and old waterwell pumps, booster pumps and filtration systems
  • Daily running of the pump technicians


You will support the Waterwell Manager to play an integral role in the day-to-day running of the Waterwell team, working in tandem with our other versatile teams in contracts, operations, accounts, and site-based drill crews.

Regular working hours: 7am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may be required.


Core Responsibilities

  • Management of two at present but up to four pump technician crews. Liaising with customers to book jobs in for the month ahead and providing job instructions to the Waterwell Technicians daily
  • Designing of pumping systems for each job based on the client's requirements
  • Specifying water filtration requirements where there are known quality issues
  • Pricing breakdowns and new sales enquiries relating to pumps
  • Service report writing and invoicing when jobs have been completed
  • Handling of stock management, purchasing, and sales order processing on Sage 200
  • Management of sales and marketing for the waterwell department; magazine placements, Google advertising, trade show planning, waterwells website, etc.

What we expect from you in the form of key responsibilities

  • Experience in the waterwell pump sector and filtration systems
  • Knowledge of the drilling industry is preferred
  • IT literate
  • Sage 200 experience Is preferred
  • Previous experience of producing Waterwell, booster pump and filtration designs.
  • Stock management experience
  • Financial/budget planning
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to foster good working relationships with clients and other colleagues
  • Full, valid UK driving license B + E

Remuneration Package

Raeburn will provide the following remuneration:
