Job overview:
Due to retirement an exciting opportunity has arisen within the maternity service at the Royal Oldham Hospital to join our established, welcoming, labour ward coordinator team.
Our labour ward has 12 birthing rooms, 2 maternity theatres and a post-operative recovery bay and provides care to 4600 women a year.
A further 600 women choose to birth on our alongside birth centre.
We are looking for a midwife who is passionate and knowledgeable about complex antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care and has a desire to support our labour ward team to provide the highest quality of care to women and their families.

- Registered Midwife
Qualifications:
Essential criteria:
- Degree in Midwifery or equivalent experience
- Practice Assessor
Desirable criteria:
- Recognised leadership qualification
- High dependency care qualification
- Further CPD relevant to the role
Experience:
Essential criteria:
- Extensive experience as a Band 6 midwife
- Substantial intrapartum experience
- Experience of coordinating shifts
- Knowledge of clinical governance
Desirable criteria:
- Leadership experience
- Provision of high dependency care
Skills:
Essential criteria:
- Excellent communication skills
- IT skills
