Job description

We are looking for an experienced Fitting Assistant/Van Driver to support our Lead Fitter and Fabrication Team of our small but fast-growing architectural glazing business.

You need to be a highly motivated self-starter, ideally with experience in installation/workshop environment and take ownership of tasks. There will be lots of opportunities for on the job training.


Responsibilities:

• To lead the onsite installation
• To support the Fabrication Team in the workshop when required
• To safely transport and deliver goods
• To abide by AumAxum's company vehicle/driving procedure at all times
• Any ad hoc tasks delegated by your line manager within reason

Please note there will be some travel outside of London involved in this role and late finishes which will be included as overtime.

Requirements:

• Full clean driving license
• Experience of driving a company vehicle
• CSCS card (preferred but not essential)
• Experience of fitting/removal of UPVC and Aluminium glazing
• Experience of using power tools and fabrication machinery
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices in construction
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Excellent team work skills and ability to complete tasks individually
• Experience with Schuco Aluminium Systems or Alumil would be a bonus

Salary:
£12.00-£15.00 per hour
